Chicken Run (Original title)
Dates: 2000 (Copyright), 04 December 2000 (Release)

Countries: USA, United Kingdom

Director: Peter Lord, Nick Park

Synopsis: Animation. At Tweedy's Egg Farm, the hens are kept in stalag-like houses surrounded by barbed wire, not unlike a feathered version of Colditz. Ginger, one of the more courageous captives, is constantly attempting to escape. Suddenly the inmates are surprised by the arrival of Rocky the Flying Rooster, whose previous employment has been as cannon fodder at the circus. Ginger, under the impression that Rocky can actually fly, hopes for a mass escape if Rocky can teach the other inmates how to fly too. However, they are running out of time since Mrs Tweedy, the overbearing owner of the farm, is busy trying to double her profits by going into the chicken pie business...Synopsis: Animated comedy, set on a sinister Yorkshire chicken farm in the 1950s. Follows the turbulent romance between one of the pluckiest hens and a visiting American rooster, both of whom yearn for freedom. A daring escape plan is hatched.
